About Us
The Beaumaris Children’s Playhouse (BCP) is a not-for-profit preschool facility that has been operating for over 40 years! It provides a safe, stimulating and caring place for your children to play and an opportunity for you to meet and talk with other parents/caregivers.
How the Playhouse works? As a member, you can visit anytime during our opening hours Monday to Saturday. Just drop in and have some fun at a time that is convenient to your family. You and your children can play on safe child-friendly equipment with hundreds of age-appropriate toys, participate in activities and events including story and music time sessions, book private birthday parties, meet locals, make friends and share experiences.
Members can...
- Make use of all the Playhouse facilities – inside and outside play areas, library and art room (smocks are available).
- Help themselves to tea and coffee from the kitchen.
- Join in any special activities taking place (music class, art, entertainers throughout the year etc)
Joining the playhouse: The playhouse is a membership based facility. Please see the membership page for more details.
All new members will then need to complete an orientation session prior to attending for your first drop in play.

Wednesday 9am – 6pm
Thursday 9am – 6pm
Friday 9am – 6pm
Saturday 9am – 5pm
Sunday Closed for Playhouse member birthday parties
The Playhouse is open on ALL public holidays!
Who Can Visit?
Only children of the member family can attend. Other children, i.e. relatives, friends, cousins are not able to visit - even on an ad hoc basis. Adult carers – those 16 years and over, apart from parents, can bring the member children. The Playhouse is not suitable for children who have started school and they may not attend. Members who have children starting Prep/Foundation in the subsequent year are permitted to attend Playhouse until the school year commences.
A prospective member family may attend a session as a visitor (with prior approval from committee) to help decide whether they would like to take up a membership, however members are unable to bring a friend for a casual visit.
